August 2017

I was so proud of myself on August 1st when I ran a mile in just over nine and a half minutes!

On the 4th Christian got a mini BattleBot arena and robots that you can battle.

I just threw this picture in here because I got all the photos off the kids' phones and Faith has tons of photos of the Dolan Twins who she follows on social media. She's obviously crushing on these cuties!!

On the 5th we decided to go camping. Continued with our tradition of stopping off for beef jerky at the Samak Country Store.

We got a new, larger tent and it was great!

We did lot of fishing.

We even made friends with a chipmunk.

S'mores!

The water from the tap at the campground was so yucky that it looked like orange juice!

We caught lots of fish!

Christian even learned how to clean the fish.

Dusty is getting sick and tired of all the traveling around here, so here he is on the 8th, camped out on my suitcase.

We got to go back up to the condo. I love this cute selfie that Christian took with his sister and cousins!

Another great walk!

The parents treated us to a delicious Zupas lunch on the 9th.

Lots of swimming was accomplished, of course!

On August 12th we decided that we needed a beach and some water, so we went to Jordanelle.

We had a bunch of fun and even rented two-person kayaks for an hour!

On the 13th we celebrated Tammy's 50th birthday. We love our Tam soooo much!

Lots of fun, family photos and even coffin cake.

The next day I got this picture of our church building, in progress.

Since May, Tony has thought it hilarious to get a hold of my phone, take a picture of my butt, and add it as wallpaper to the screen. Dork!

On August 14th the kids went to the zoo with Tammy while Tony and I took a quick, two-day trip to California for our anniversary. I'm sure they saw real animals, too, but this was the selfie I found on Faith's phone, LOL.

It was a short, but fun trip! We stayed in Laguna Beach.

On the 15th it was our 20th anniversary! We explored the beach, which was really cool.

We got home and on the 16th took the kids to the Davis County fair. We absolutely loved the sea lion show and paid for a picture with the stars!

We also got to see this cool snake,

a magic show by the magician we used to see in the summer library events,

and enjoyed petting all the animals we could get our hands on!

I was doing some photo uploading for an anniversary post on Facebook (see following post) and came across these sweet pictures. My favorite one of me & my grandpa Quinn,

and my Baby Faithie as a bun in the oven.

Here is my Bud on the 19th dressing appropriately for the temperature when Tony controls the AC. Just kidding!

August 21st was the day of the solar eclipse. Although I was working, Christian came up with his own themed breakfast of egg in a nest. It totally looks like the moon eclipsing the sun!

I took a break from work at the correct time and we got to experience all the coolness with the safety of our special glasses.

When I got off work later that afternoon, I found the kids like this--tv, desktop computer and laptop computer. Crazy! But points to Buddy for making a recliner out of four kitchen chairs.

On the 22nd Bud got his hair cut by the only person he allows to touch his locks, Stylist Joseph at Supercuts!

We did a bit of back to school shopping and the kids think this meme was created for me:

Then we were all ready for the first day of school on the 23rd!

On the 25th the kids were looking at Tony's elementary yearbook and Christian thought he would recreate his dad's photo:

We had ultimate tater tots for dinner and Bud piled his up like Napoleon Dynamite!

August 27th was Brendon's homecoming.

Christian and I had cooked up a bunch of crepes for the luncheon afterward.
