November 2015

Faith turned the big 1-4 on November 1st so we took her out to breakfast since it had been so long since we'd been to Golden Corral.

Some artwork from the wall:
Christian's ninja dinosaur

A perspective piece he did in art at school by tracing his hands and feet. Faith did the same technique when she was in third grade!

Faith did this parrot for her art class last year and just found it in the homework drawer.

Bud's "farmer with a llama"

and "haunted house."

Faith did this great pic of Gooffy.

Christian did this one in school.

By the 2nd we were all decorated for Christmas! 😳 New this year we have the laser light show which projects green and red spots all over the front of the house.

On November 3 I got this cute shot of buddy snuggling his skittles while eating some pomegranate.

Back on October 30th, my friend Darcy Jewell's husband Jeff crashed his scooter, breaking lots of ribs, his collarbone and chipping some of his skull off into his brain requiring neurosurgery. It was touching go at first, but by the beginning of November he was up and about and heading home.

On November 5th we got some snow. Even though I had to work, I whipped up some gingerbread pancake mix which Christian cooked on the griddle. Had to make most of these last off-track days!

At bunco that night, Kim and Jamie got ahold of my phone 😁

Information came out about the churches new policy for bishops to not allow children of same-sex couples to be baptized until they were 18. It was very upsetting to me and made me very sad. I needed the levity of this meme!

I also love this quote:

Here Bud is on the 7th making a poofy tent using a sheet and in active heater vent.

November 8th and Dusty's getting some loves ❤️

That day we celebrated Faith's birthday at the grandparents' houses. She decided on chiffon cheesecakes with a beach theme and decorated four of these awesome desserts!
The palm tree is a Pepperidge farm pirouette cookie with candy melt leaves which she crafted. She even created the beach chair! I love the gummy bears having fun in the surf.

She received some fun gifts,

and visited with family.

Tammy had fun with the beach theme!

And Faith mainly just asked for money, but grandma & Tammy tricked her by wrapping this giant can of Parmesan cheese 😂 She loves the stuff & loads her salads up with TONS of it!

Riot on the 9th when we were purple for epilepsy awareness.

I had to let Tam know:
This was the quote at Riot on the 11th and it spoke to me!

On the 14th kids thought they needed some McDonald's hotcakes, so we obliged.

We drove up to Gosner cheese factory and loaded up with curds and pepper jack!

On the 18th Christian wanted to sew something, and he ended up copying a dog toy Skittles candy like the one Faith had done a few years before.

November 19th A coworker had asked on our JetBlue Facebook page about what other people's offices looked like. I posted my desk and my three favorite things: my cheat sheet, hour by hour work calendar, and boogie board (digital white board).

That night I took the kids to Davis high for their production of Les Miserables. They did a great job!

On the 20th we went to the new Hunger Games movie. I had been working all week on these little felt toys filled with candy for the festival of trees, and finally got to drop them off to Marijo Holley's house the night of the deadline!

On the 24th neighbor held a pie sampling party in the afternoon and I tried re-creating almond crunch pie. I use Joy's recipe and it came out delicious!

I loved the sunset that evening ❤️

The 26th was Thanksgiving. I woke up early and went to the sportsplex gym for a special fundraiser workout which benefited operation underground railroad which saves children from sex trafficking.  It was put on by High fitness which is a dance exercise class that reminds me of Jazzercise.

As usual, we brought grandma Quinn's party vegetables & cranberry Jell-O salad to my mom and dads house.

Skittles is ready for her feast!

We didn't have two dinners to go to that day because Lanae had some problems with her blood pressure and had to go to the hospital. She ended up being OK and just needing some medication. So we had their Thanksgiving the next day on the 27th. We brought the Dixie pomegranate fruit salad.

After dinner, we played some games including Tenzi where you roll 10 colored dice and try to get certain numbers.

I'd seen on Facebook that house not too far from ours was starting up there like show that night, so we drove by to see it. It took a while to get up and going, but was really fun and had the lights set to music.

I took a picture of the kids in the car, and managed to blind them real good 😂

Even later that evening, Christian got to be in a live nativity at the nativity display in the old church downtown Kaysville. He made such a cute Joseph! I love how three of them in this picture were wearing glasses 🤓

My mom and dad, Tammy, and Lana all came. We looked at all the beautiful nativities and did the scavenger hunt.

At the end, we listen to little bit of the music in the chapel.

Faith had a little skittle on her pillow giving kisses on the 28th 💋

We were off to a rough start that day getting to the nutcracker ballet. Faith's hair didn't go as she had hoped. We arrived just a few minutes before the show, so I decided to valet my car for the first time, ever!

It's so special and my mom got to take all of her granddaughters except Evie, who is too tiny. And she gave them each another special ornament.

It was a little funny when they tried to bring my car around, it was so slippery that it took three of them to push my car up the hill to us!
